What Comes Next
We have built the Center. Now we want it to grow under our leadership, helping young people keep speaking Hadzane, take pride in who they are and carry our knowledge forward. We will focus on three areas:
More Hadza Digital Storytellers
Together with AFRISOS, we plan to hold six practical workshops each year, giving 60 community members the opportunity to participate over the next three years. They can choose photography, filmmaking, sound recording or wildlife camera traps based on the stories they want to tell.
A Stronger Home for Our Work
We want to equip our visual and audio studios with three creative workstations. Participants will use them to edit photographs and films and to record traditional music and oral storytelling with elders. Support will also sustain a full-time Hadzabe Media Center Manager and create secure archival storage.
Keeping Our Knowledge Alive
